The Economy, The Politics And Us |
Rarely do we extend past our own business to reflect contemporary issues but these days, we cannot ignore what is happening around us. The economy in the U.S. is faltering severely. With prices going through the roof and almost a quarter of a million jobs lost in the first quarter of 2008 one has to wonder why and how does it affect us in internet radio. Because of the costs of operating a station is also on the rise, you may see more and more internet stations dissolving into obscurity. These are hard times for everyone, no matter what they do and this part of our newsletter is to assure our artists and our listeners that we have re-budgeted our operational costs so that we may continue our services for free to our artists and listeners. We also anticipate that once the economy returns to some stability, we will be a here to serve our visitors. On the political side of our economic woes in the U.S., well, it's a presidential election year and whoever gains the office of President Of The United States will also have some impact on the internet. Things like internet limitation and territorial costs and addtional taxes. These things may come into fruition depending on who is elected into the highest office in the land. One has to wonder though that many political forums have been used by the candidates and they may want to pull additional dollars from the internet as they have seen the impact that the internet has. Then there is Us. Just like everyone else, we are caught up between our wallets, the economy and the politics. Everyday, we keep an eye out on what is going on across America and model ourselves accordingly so that we can remain viable and financially stable with these troubled times. So by re-budgeting ourselves, we can meet the costs of our operations and keep our site free for everyone. Unfortunately, growth may not occur as quickly as we had anticipated so we also re-formulated our Expansion Plan 2008 Envision to meet the price increases of everything so that we can continue to grow while facing many adversities in our country. Once we see things improve, we will revert back to our original expansion plan and proceed at the pace we forcasted last year. |
What's Coming To Our Site |
New things are coming to Musictogousa.com. We are writing the codes that will enable our visitors to request their favorite artists on our playlists and buy buttons. The buy buttons are only available at this point on our pop-up player but we will be extending those buy buttons to our playlists so that our listeners will not have to wait for their favorite artist to be played. Our Video Gallery will be returning soon as we have repaired the codings on most of the artists video's. Lot's more things coming to Musictogousa.com and we will press release those things 48 hours prior to implementing them (for now these things are kept secret). |
Rants And Raves |
There are many Rants this year with the souring economy, voters in two states that will not be able to seat their delegates in the Presidential Race, people losing their jobs, local cities and towns committing unethical taxation practices on personal property, the sub-prime mortgage rip-offs and the lack of leadership in our political system because our politicians are millionaires and they do not suffer like the rest of the populace nor do they care to understand the frustrations of middle and poor America. The belt tightening is always placed on the people struggling to make ends meet while the politicians flaunt their own success and in the case of New York governers, hire $4,000.00 prostitutes and have affairs at our expense. There should be a revamping of our political system and the country should be returned to the people instead of our present course. There are also a few Raves this year (they were hard to come by). One being that even though things are tough for everyone, we have to salute those that have shown resiliency despite their problems. One of the most resilient people on Earth are the independent artists that continue to struggle in the music industry and will struggle through these tough economic times. And our only other Rave would be to our listeners that despite rising costs, they continue to stay connected to the internet and help us determine our own entertainment value. |
That's it for this month. Stay Well! Stay Safe! and Enjoy Music Again! |
